Vought Aircraft Industries Orders Two Metron Laser Scanning SystemsSEATTLE, Wash. February 1, 2006 — Vought Aircraft Industries, a Tier One aerospace company, has ordered two laser scanning systems from Metron Systems. The two systems will allow Vought to decrease inspection time and increase the quality of the company's manufacturing processes. Gary Helms, Lead Technical Quality Engineer at Vought Aircraft Industries Inc, is excited about their recent order. "The Metron Scanning Systems we have ordered will allow us to substantially increase our throughput on the production floor." "The unique combination of accuracy, field-of-view and the ability to measure highly reflective parts are exactly what we need at Vought in order to improve efficiency and accuracy and allow us to meet and exceed our customer's requirements," Mr Helms added. Says Helms, "After extensively researching other non-contact laser scanning systems, we came to the conclusion that Metron does the best job of meeting the needs of Tier I Aerospace suppliers. We are anxiously awaiting the delivery in March." About Vought About Metron
