McCauley Orders Metron G2 Laser Scanner for 3D Verification of Propellers
SEATTLE, Wash. October 30, 2006 —
McCauley Propeller Systems, a leading manufacturer of aircraft propellers, has ordered a fully automated laser scanning system from Metron Systems Inc. After verification, the system will allow McCauley to rapidly confirm the 3-dimentional quality of propellers, thereby decreasing inspection time and increasing the quality of the company's manufacturing processes.
According to production managers at McCauley, Metron's unique combination of accuracy, field-of-view, automation and the ability to measure reflective parts, will allow McCauley to improve efficiency and accuracy plus meet or exceed customer requirements.
