Boeing Certifies the Metron-based Quality Inspection Process at AMT

SNOQUALMIE, Wash. March 30, 2006 — Metron Systems Inc. announced today that the inspection process at Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies (AMT), which centers around a Metron 3D Laser Scanner, has been certified by Boeing for the inspection of tier-one aerospace parts and components.

The Metron 3D Laser Scanner is one of the few non-contacting metrology systems to earn such certification from Boeing, and is the only laser-based scanner that can measure highly reflective parts.

The Boeing Co. certifies the quality inspection process for vendors who supply parts to Boeing. Boeing’s Certification program includes a rigorous evaluation of all processes and equipment used by the vendor.
