Applied Engineering Orders Metron G2 Laser Scanner for 3D Verification of Aerospace Parts
SEATTLE, Wash. January 7, 2007 —
Applied Engineering, Inc., a leading manufacturer of aerospace parts, has ordered a fully automated laser scanning system from Metron Systems. After verification, the system will allow Applied Engineering to rapidly confirm the 3-dimensional quality of fabricated parts, thereby decreasing inspection time and increasing the quality of the company's manufacturing processes.
According to senior management at Applied Engineering, Metron's unique combination of accuracy, field-of-view, automation and the ability to measure reflective parts, will allow the company to improve efficiency and accuracy plus meet or exceed customer requirements.
